JBM.CO.ID – Dunia sepak bola dilanda berita duka. Ini lantaran virus corona alias COVID-19 merenggut nyawa eks-presiden club elite Spanyol, Real Madrid, Lorenzo Sanz.
Data yang diperoleh bahwa Lorenzo Sanz telah berada di rumah sakit selama berhari-hari akibat demam tinggi, serta hasil tes COVID-19 yang menyatakan positif.
Kabar meninggalnya Lorenzo Sanz didapat dari sang anak, Lorenzo Sanz Duran di twitter. “Ayah saya meninggal dunia,” tulis Duran seperti dikutip BOLASPORT.COM, Minggu (22/3/2020) pagi.
“Ia tidak pantas meinggal dunia dengan seperti ini. Salah satu orang terbaik, paling berani dan pekerja keras yang pernah saya lihat dalam hidup saya. Keluarga dan Real Madrid adalah hasratnya.”
Menurut catatan JBM.co.id bahwa Lorenzo Sanz menjabat Presideng Real Madrid periode tahun 1995 sampai tahun2000. Lorenzo bertahta di kursi tertinggi klub elit asal ibukota Spanyol itu selama lima tahun.
Sementara data yang diperoleh media ini dari BOLASPORT.COM menyebutkan bahwa hingga Minggu (22/3/2020) pukul 06.00 WIB, pesepak bola yang dinyatakan positif virus Corona mencapai 26 orang.
Bintang Espanyol asal China, Wu Lei menambah pesepak bola yang dinyatakan positif terjangkit virus Corona. Kabar sedih ini diumumkan oleh Asosiasi Sepak Bola China.
“Asosiasi Sepak Bola China (CFA) telah diinformasikan oleh Espanyol bahwa pemain timnas China, Wu Lei telah didiagnosis virus Corona,” bunyi pernyataan resmi CFA.
“Wu saat ini telah mendapat perawatan setelah menunjukkan gejala ringan. CFA juga memantau bagaimana kondisi Wu di Espanyol. Kami akan memberikan semua bantuan yang diperlukan kepadanya bergantung pada bagaimana perkembangannya,” tambahnya.
Wu Lei sendiri memberikan pesan kepada para suporter terkait kondisinya melalui sosial media Espanyol. “Hallo fans, seperti diketahui, saya terinfeksi COVID-19. Saya saat ini berada di rumah untuk melakukan karantina,” ujarnya.
“Secara mental saya baik-baik saja, kuat dan gejala yang saya rasakan hampir hilang. Mereka telah melakukan beberapa tes pada paru-paru saya, dan hasilnya baik-baik saja, tak ada masalah lain,” tambahnya.
Pemain yang juga dijuluki Diego Maradona dari China itu juga ingin berterima kasih kepada para fans mengenai dukungan yang diberikan.
“Saya ingin berterima kasih atas pesan dukungan dan cinta. Saya telah menerimanya dan kalian tak pelru khawatir.”
“Saya juga ingin kamu menyadari tentang COVID-19. Kita belum berhasil mengalahkannya jadi untuk itu, ikuti instruksi kesehatan, cuci tangan dan jangan keluar rumah,” ujarnya.
Espanyol memang sempat merilis pernyataan bahwa ada 6 staf dan pemainnya terinfeksi virus corona, pada Selasa (17/3/2020) malam hari waktu setempat.
“Sore ini, kami mengonfirmasi bahwa 6 anggota skuad utama dan staf kepelatihan RCD Espanyol de Barcelona telah menerima hasil positif terkait tes COVID-19 yang dilakukan beberapa jam terakhir,” bunyi pernyataan Espanyol kala itu.
“Mereka semua menderita gejala ringan dan mengikuti rekomendasi medis untuk perawatan.”
Walau tidak menyebut nama, tetapi diyakini dua di antaranya adalah Wu Lei dan bek Leandro Cabrera.
Dari Liga Italia, jumlah pesepak bola yang dinyatakan positif virus Corona bertambah 3 orang. Juventus mengonfirmasi kasus ketiga atas nama Paulo Dybala.
Tak lama berselang, Dybala pun merilis sebuah pernyataan melalui akun sosial medianya.
“Hai semuanya, saya hanya ingin memberi tahu Anda bahwa kami telah menerima hasil untuk tes COVID-19. Oriana dan saya telah dites positif,” tulis Dybala dalam sebuah cuitan di Twitternya.
“Untungnya kita dalam kondisi baik-baik saja. Terima kasih atas pesan dukungan Anda.”
Dari kota AC Milan, Paolo Maldini dan putranya, Daniel Maldini juga dinyatakan positif COVID-19. “AC Milan mengonfirmasi bahwa Paulo Maldini, Direktur Teknis Klub, sadar jika dirinya melakukan kontak dengan seseorang yang kemudia dinyatakan positif terjangkit virus corona,” tulis AC Milan dilansir BolaSport.com dari laman resmi klub.
“Setelah itu dirinya melakukan tes kemarin dan hasilnya adalah positif. Putranya, Daniel, pemain depan tim muda AC Milan yang sebelumnya berlatih bersama skuad utama, juga dinyatakan positif.”
