Lampung, JBM.CO.ID | Wakil Gubernur (Wagub) Lampung Chusnunia (Nunik) mendorong para penyuluh pertanian bergadengan tangan bersama pemerintah mewujudkan Rakyat Lampung Berjaya. Salah satunya dengan melakukan perlindungan lahan pertanian dan regenerasi pertanian di kalangan generasi muda.
Hal tersebut, disampaikan Wagub Nunik saat menghadiri Sosialisasi Undang-Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2019 tentang Sistem Budi Daya Pertanian Berkelanjutan dan Undang-Undang Nomor 41 Tahun 2009 tentang Perlindungan Lahan Pertanian Pangan Berkelanjutan, di Hotel Horison Bandar Lampung, Sabtu (7/3/2020).
Dalam kesempatan itu, Nunik menyoroti agar semua pihak bersama-sama memikirkan keberlanjutan bidang pertanian, terutama soal regenerasi di kalangan generasi muda.
“Regenerasi ini kalau tidak kita pikirkan petani kita bisa semakin habis karena anak-anak muda hari ini semakin jarang yang ingin menjadi petani. Karena melihat petani dianggap kumuh dan jauh dari kesejahteraan. Untuk itu kita harus bersama-sama memikirkan hal tersebut,” ujar Wagub.
Wagub menilai pendidikan berbasis pertanian di Provinsi Lampung harus menjadi perhatian bersama.
“Yang ingin saya sampaikan Lampung adalah daerah basis pertanian tetapi kita masih sangat minim bidang pendidikan pertanian ini. SMA/SMK pertanian masih sangat terbatas dan butuh perhatian bersama termasuk pusat, baik pihak Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan dan juga Kementerian Pertanian,” katanya.
Pada bagian lain, Wagub juga berpendapat jika petani hanya akan bisa maju kalau penyuluhnya mendapatkan perhatian yang maksimal.
“Pak Gubernur selalu bilang petani berjaya tidak akan bisa kalau penyuluhnya tidak ikut berjaya,” ujar Wagub Nunik.
Nunik mengatakan Pemerintah Provinsi Lampung juga selalu mendukung agar penyuluh pertanian mendapatkan perhatian salah satunya bersinergi dengan Kementerian Pertanian.
“Kita juga bersinergi dengan Kementerian Pertanian terhadap program-program pertanian di Provinsi Lampung. Kita tentu berharap bidang pertanian ini benar-benar maju di Provinsi Lampung karena kita mayoritas petani,” katanya.
Pada kesempatan itu, Nunik juga mengimbau para penyuluh mengajak para petani ikut serta membudidayakan pertanian organik.
“Pertanian organik juga perlu menjadi perhatian kita bersama, kepada seluruh penyuluh kami titipkan bagaimana petani-petani kita agar mulai bergeser juga memikirkan pertanian organik. Karena hasil pertanian juga harus memikirkan dampak kesehatan dan efek dari produksi itu sendiri,” ujarnya
Sementara itu, Ketua Komisi IV DPR RI Sudin mengatakan penyuluh memiliki peranan penting bersama petani memajukan sektor pertanian khususnya di Provinsi Lampung.
“Kalau ada petaninya, kemudian lahannya juga ada, tetapi tidak ada yang menunjukkan jalannya yakin akan tersesat. Maka yang menunjukkannya dan memberikan jalannya adalah para penyuluh,” ujar Sudin.
Sudin menjelaskan agar para penyuluh ini juga dipikirkan terkait sarana dan prasarana termasuk saat berada di lapangan.
“Bagaimana lokasi balai penyuluh apakah harus diperbaiki, kemudian kesejahteraan penyuluh termasuk pikirkan juga sarana prasarananya,” katanya.
Sudin berharap agar kegiatan ini dapat memberikan manfaat bagi kemajuan pertanian di Provinsi Lampung dan meminta agar bersama-sama untuk menjaga lahan pertanian.
“Bangga sebagai orang Indonesia khususnya Lampung, alhamdulillah di Indonesia apapun tumbuh, apapun bisa kita nikmati, maka yang ada itu wajib kita menjaganya,” ujarnya.
Dalam laporannya, Kepala Badan Penyuluhan dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Pertanian, Kementerian Pertanian Dedi Nursyamsi mengatakan kedua Undang-Undang tersebut untuk dijadikan pegangan dan refresensi pembangunan khususnya pembangunan pertanian didaaerahnya masing-masing baik Provinsi maupun Kabupaten/Kota.
Dedi mengatakan pada Undang-Undang Nomor 41 Tahun 2009 lahan pertanian harus bisa dijaga dan dipertahankan dan tidak dialih fungsikan.
“Undang-Undang ini sudah lama tetapi implementasinya di lapangan belum terlalu menggembirakan. Dari Undang-Undang ini kita semua mengharapkan agar lahan pertanian itu bisa dipertahankan, tidak ada alih fungsi dan mestinya harus bisa kita jaga sama-sama,” ujar Dedi.
Dedi berharap melalui kegiatan tersebut, Provinsi Lampung mampu mengimplementasilam UU Nomor 41 Tahun 2009 sehingga berjalan dengan baik.
“Sehingga lahan-lahan pertanian kita terutama lahan sawah benar-benar dijaga sebagai penopang ketahanan pangan kita.
Kegiatan ini agar semua memahami benar-benar isi Undang-Undang ini dan mengimplementasikannya di wilayah masing-masing,” katanya.
Pada kesempatan itu juga dilakukan pemberian bantuan Information Comunication Technologi (ICT) kepada 15 Kabupaten/Kota se- Provinsi Lampung. /JBM
