MEDAN – JBM.CO.ID – Ribuan massa menggelar demonstrasi “save babi” di depan kantor DPRD Sumut, Jl. Imam Bonjol, Medan, Senin (10/2/2020).
Ribuan massa ini memenuhi halaman kantor dan jalan di depan kantor DPRD Sumut, sehingga jalan Imam Bonjol ditutup.
Selain berorasi, para demonstran meneriakkan yel yel dan bernyanyi. “Save Babi, Save Babi”, teriak massa, sembari membawa spanduk besar bertuliskan ” Gerakan Aksi Damai Non Politik #SaveBabi.
Salah satu orator dengan lantangnya menyerukan “Tolak pemusnahan babi di Sumut”, yang langsung disambut massa dengan teriakan ” Save babi, save babi”.
Demonstrasi berjalan tertib dan damai. Polisi tampak mengawal dan berjaga-jaga di sekitar lokasi. Di dalam gedung DPRD sedang digelar rapat gabungan membahas penanganan wabah African Swine Fever (ASF) yang membuat jutaan babi mati.
