MEDAN – JBM.CO.ID – Pemanasan global akhir-akhir ini sudah sangat mengkhawatirkan, bila tidak segera dilakukan berbagai tindakan maka bumi ini akan terus-menerus mengalami bencana, salah satu tindakan mengurangi efek pemanasan global sekaligus penyelamatan Bumi adalah melalui kegiatan penghijauan dengan membudayakan menanam pohon disetiap lahan-lahan kosong.
Demikian disampaikan Ketua DPD PDI Perjuangan Sumut, Japorman Saragih saat memberikan sambutan pada acara “Gerakan Tanam Pohon Cinta Bumi” bekerjasama dengan Pemko Medan di jalan Bunga Turi 1 Kelurahan Sidomulyo Medan Tuntungan pada Jumat (7/2)
“Indonesia merupakan Paru-Paru Bumi, karena Indonesia memiliki kekayaan hutan yang sangat luas, selamatnya hutan Indonesia berarti kita sedang menyelamatkan Bumi, cara yang paling efektif selamatkan bumi adalah menanam pohon” ujar Japorman
Kegiatan Gerakan Tanam Pohon Cinta Bumi yang dilaksanakan oleh DPD PDI Perjuangan Sumut dalam rangka memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun PDI Perjuangan yang ke 47 sekaligus kado ulang tahun bagi Ketua Umum Ibu Megawati Soekarnoputri yang ke 73 ditandai dengan menanam 5000 pohon di Kota Medan.
Dalam sambutanya, Japorman yang didampingi oleh Sekretaris DPD Sutarto dan beberapa fungsionaris DPD PDI Perjuangan Sumut lainnya, mengajak seluruh kader PDI Perjuangan untuk terlibat aktif menanam pohon disekitar lingkungannya masing-masing.
“Saya mengajak seluruh kader PDI Perjuangan untuk menanam pohon minimal satu pohon setiap kader, ditanam dilingkungan rumahnya masing-masing, hal ini sebagai bentuk komitmen kita untuk menyelamatkan Indonesia sebagai paru-paru bumi” ajak Japorman
Simbolis acara menanam 5000 pohon di Kota Medan dalam rangka “Gerakan Tanam Pohon Cinta Bumi” tersebut ditandai dengan penyerahan bibit pohon dari Ketua DPD PDI Perjuangan Sumut kepada kader PDI Perjuangan yang sekaligus Plt Walikota Medan Akyar Nasution, dilanjutkan dengan bersama-sama menanam bibit pohon dipinggiran jalan Bunga Turi 1 Kelurahan Sidomulyo Medan Tuntungan.
Kegiatan menanam 5000 pohon ini juga dihadiri oleh 21 PAC PDI Perjuangan se Kota Medan dan beberapa OPD Kota Medan seperti Kadis Lingkungan Hidup Bob Lubis, Kadis Perkim Benny Iskandar dan seluruh camat se Kota Medan.
