Makasar, JBM.CO.ID | Direktur Jenderal Pengelolaan Limbah, Sampah dan Bahan Beracun Berbahaya (PSLB3), Rosa Vivien Ratnawati bersama Kasubdit Sampah Spesifik dan Daur Ulang Direktorat PSLB3, Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK), Ari Sugasri datang meninjau Kapal Sampah milik PT Pelindo IV (Persero), Rabu (5/2).
Dalam kunjungan tersebut, keduanya menyusuri Dermaga Hatta Ujung, Dermaga Hasanuddin, Dermaga Soekarno, perairan depan Pertamina hingga Pelabuhan Paotere Makassar dengan menumpang seraya menyaksikan langsung cara kerja Kapal Sampah yang sengaja diadakan oleh Pelindo IV untuk membersihkan dan mengangkut sampah di perairan Pelabuhan Makassar.
Sebelumnya, Direktur Utama PT Pelindo IV, Farid Padang mengatakan pengadaan Kapal Sampah itu dalam rangka Hari Peduli Sampah Nasional (HPSN) yang rutin diperingati setiap 21 Februari.
“Pelindo IV bekerjasama dengan PT Tesco Indomaritim, salah satu perusahaan pembuat kapal di Indonesia, untuk membuat kapal pengangkut sampah,” kata Farid.
“Rencananya, secara bertahap kami juga akan mengadakan lagi kapal pengangkut sampah untuk kebersihan laut di pelabuhan kelolaan lain. Agar laut di sekitar pelabuhan bersih dari sampah plastik yang berserakan.”
General Manager (GM) Pelindo IV Cabang Makassar, Aris Tunru menyebutkan kapal yang diberi nama KM Skimmer ini akan membersihkan sampah-sampah di laut sekitar Pelabuhan Makassar.
“Dimulai dari Dermaga Hatta Ujung, Dermaga Hasanuddin, Dermaga Soekarno, perairan depan Pertamina hingga Pelabuhan Paotere Makassar,” sebutnya.
Dia juga mengatakan, setiap hari akan ada crew yang standby di atas kapal yang memiliki kapasitas angkut sampah 3 hingga 5 ton ini. /Jbm
