Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) menyampaikan merupakan kehormatan untuk menerima kunjungan Presiden Singapura, Halimah Yacob, dan delegasi ke Indonesia.
“Ini adalah kunjungan Presiden Halimah pertama kalinya,” ujar Presiden Jokowi saat membuka pernyataan pers bersama di Istana Kepresidenan Bogor, Provinsi Jawa Barat.
Menurut Presiden, Indonesia dan Singapura adalah tetangga dekat tidak terdapat opsi untuk terus memperkokoh hubungan yang saling menguntungkan di antara kedua negara.
“Hubungan erat yang telah kita bangun bukan hanya di bidang ekonomi tapi juga hubungan antarmasyarakat,” tambah Presiden Jokowi.
Sebagai informasi, agenda Presiden Singapura Halimah Yacob selama di Istana Kepresidenan Bogor yakni upacara kenegaraan, kemudian mengisi buku tamu, berbincang di veranda, dan setelah itu penanaman pohon. Turut hadir mendampingi Presiden dalam agenda kali ini Menko PMK Muhadjir Effendy, Sekretaris Kabinet Pramono Anung, Mensesneg Pratikno, Menlu Retno Marsudi, Menkeu Sri Mulyani, dan Mendikbud Nadiem Makarim. /JBM
