Andi Surya ; Lingkungan Hidup Dan Kebersihan Kota Metro Akan Terjaga Jika Ada “Political Will”
Metro, Lampung, JBM.CO.ID––Andi Surya hadir di Pasar Yosomulyo Pelangi, penuhi undangan refleksi diskusi akhir tahun Payungi University yang dipimpin penggiat sosial kemasyarakatan Metro sekaligus pendiri Pasar Yosomulyo Pelangi, Dharma Setyawan, (24/12/2019).
Topik diskusi adalah ‘Kota dan Lingkungan hidup’, menyorot pembangunan perkotaan berlandas keseimbangan lingkungan hidup. Nara sumber selain Andi Surya, Achyani Subadi dari UM Metro dan Fizul Surya Pribadi (University of Twente).
Moderator, Rahmatul Ummah, membeber fakta lingkungan hidup di Metro yang mulai tercemar oleh sampah plastik, dibuktikan dengan video sampah berserakan di beberapa titik Kota Metro.
Andi Surya menyatakan, persoalan sampah dan kebersihan lingkungan di Metro tidak lepas dari tugas pokok dan fungsi Pemerintah Kota, ujarnya.
“Lingkungan hidup bisa terjaga dan kebersihan kota menjadi prioritas jika ada ‘political will’ dari pemerintah kota. Di sisi lain warga kota perlu sosialisasi untuk kesadaran pentingannya lingkungan hidup yang bersih dan sehat”, ujar Andi Surya.
Dilanjutkannya, Walikota Metro harus tegas mengawasi Organisasi Pemerintah Daerah (OPD) yang bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan hidup dan tata ruang hijau kota, karena ketegasan dan komitmen pemimpin daerah akan menjadi para meter bersihnya lingkungan Kota Metro, sebut Andi Surya.
“Walikota seyogyanya menjadi innovator dan motivator sekaligus juga sebagai ‘punisher’. Jika ada pejabat yang bertanggung jawab terhadap pembangunan lingkungan hidup dan tata ruang hijau tidak memiliki komitmen tugas, segera ganti pejabat baru, agar kota tetap terjaga nyaman lingkungan”, Ujar Andi Surya.
Selanjutnya nara sumber Achyani Subadi, membeberkan pentingnya sikap dan komitmen manusia untuk tunduk kepada keseimbangan lingkungan termasuk pula dalam hal perlunya pertanian yang berbasis non pestisida dan organik untuk mendukung kesehatan lingkungan hidup.
Fizul Surya, menyatakan urgensi utama menyelamatkan karbon melalui pelestarian dan perbanyak pepohonan agar lingkungan Kota Metro menjadi lebih hijau, ujarnya. (JBM)
