JAKARTA – JBM.co.id – Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) resmi mengeluarkan Peraturan KPU untuk pelaksanaan Pilkada 2020 mendatang.
Dalam PKPU tersebut, KPU tidak melarang eks koruptor untuk maju di Pilkada. Namun KPU menghimbau partai politik lebih mengutamakan calon yang bukan eks koruptor dalam proses seleksi.
Aturan itu tertuang dalam Pasal 3A ayat 3 dan 4 PKPU Nomor 18 tahun 2019 tentang Perubahan Kedua Atas Peraturan KPU Nomor 3 Tahun 2017 tentang Pencalonan Pemilihan Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur, Bupati dan Wakil Bupati, Dan/Atau Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota.
“Dalam seleksi bakal calon Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur, Bupati dan Wakil Bupati, dan/atau Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota secara demokratis dan terbuka sebagaimana dimaksud pada ayat (2) mengutamakan bukan mantan terpidana korupsi,” demikian bunyi pasal 3A ayat 3 seperti dilihat JBM.co.id, Jumat (06/12/2019).
Bahkan dalam Pasal 3 Ayat 4, KPU juga menghimbau agar calon yang akan maju dari jalur independen atau perseorangan juga bukan eks koruptor.
“Bakal calon perseorangan yang dapat mendaftar sebagai calon Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur, Bupati dan Wakil Bupati, dan/atau Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota diutamakan bukan mantan terpidana korupsi,” demikian bunyi pasal tersebut.
