JAKARTA – JBM.co.id – Ketua MPR, Bambang Soesatyo atau Bamsoet mendadak mundur sebagai Calon Ketua Umum Partai Golkar.
Keputusan ini dilakukan Bamsoet usai bertemu dengan Aburizal Bakrie, Luhur Binsar Pandjaitan dan Airlangga Hartanto.
“Menyatakan tidak meneruskan pencalonan saya sebagai kandidat Ketum Partai Golkar 2019-2024,” ujar Bamsoet di Jakarta, Rabu (04/12/2019).
Menurut Bamsoet, keputusan ini usai dirinya mendapatkan nasehat dari para politikus senior Golkar.
“Pagi sudah komunikasi dan menyampaikan pandangan. Termasuk juga Ketua Dewan Pakar Pak Agung Laksono,” kata Bamsoet.
Ia juga tidak menginginkan Golkar terpecah, sehingga dirinya memutuskan untuk mengundurkan diri sebagai Caketum.
“Biar ke depan tidak ada lagi nanti kubu pro-Bamsoet dan pro-AH (Airlangga Hartarto). Yang ada adalah pro-Golkar dan pro-Indonesia,” imbuhnya.
Bamsoet mengimbau supaya pendukungnya tidak kecewa dengan keputusannya tersebut. Sehingga bisa tetap merajut hubungan dengan kader Partai Golkar lainnya.
“Karena tidak ada kata lain kecuali Partai Golkar,” pungkasnya.
Dengan mundurnya Bamsoet, ada delapan nama yang sudah menyatakan siap maju dalam pertarungan calon ketua umum Golkar. Delapan nama tersebut adalah Airlangga Hartarto, Agun Gunandjar Sudarsa, Ridwan Hisjam, Indra Bambang Utoyo, Ahmad Anama, Maris Mandji, Derek Loupatty, dan Mohamad Ali Yahya.
Pemilihan ketua umum Golkar dilakukan lewat mekanisme Musyawarah Nasional (Munas). Perhelatan akbar itu digelar pada 3-6 Desember 2019 dan bertempat di Jakarta.
